OneWheel Demo Program / OneWheel Rental Program Policy Overview

 

- Purchase of a OneWheel Demo or OneWheel Rental Package constitutes agreement to Policy Overview below (subject to change, not limited to below, full contract will be sent for signature/agreement prior to completion of purchase / shipment):

- Can view OneWheel Demo and OneWheel Rental Options via the following links : OneWheel Demo Options and OneWheel Rental Options (click links to view).

- Selected OneWheel Demo / Onewheel Rental period begins 1 day after shipment tracking shows delivery was made or delivery was attempted (a signature will be required for delivery, it is the responsibility of the recipient to be available to sign for package or use customizable delivery/pick-up options available from carrier via tracking page - where available options can vary by location). 

- At time of delivery / receipt, inspect package for signs of damage before signing or accepting delivery, refuse delivery if significant damage is present, once package is signed for we are not responsible for damage caused by carrier, and respective damages will be deducted from security deposit accordingly. 

- Upon arrival of board, keep all packing materials, including all boxes and inserts, as these will be used for the return of board. missing packing materials will be subject to deductions of security deposit, as well as additional deductions of transit damage caused by missing packing inserts and/or improper packing.

- OneWheel Demo / Onewheel Rental period ends when return label tracking shows movement (drop off of return must be handed to and weighed by authorized carrier attendant with printed paper receipt of return drop off showing proper weight of package on receipt, self service kiosks can not be used for returns, tracking must show movement for return end period to register, self service kiosk tracking note of 'dropped off by customer' will not be considered a valid return designation, return drop off receipt must be scanned/weighed by attendant and show proper weight of package on receipt - failure to follow these steps will result in forfeiture of security deposit return if board is not received even if tracking shows delivered).

- Full refund of demo / rental deposit subject to on time return of board after selected / designated demo / rental end date (plus pending receival of returned board and evaluation for acceptable return condition, see below).

- Packing board for return, board and accessories must be packed up exactly as was received, any missing packing components or packing inserts are subject to deductions from security deposit, in addition to deductions caused by improper packing. - Board return must show tracking movement within 2 days of rental end date (a charge / deduction of $75 per day will be applied cumulatively and deducted from security deposit for each day board is late and/or shows no tracking movement, once the balance of the deposit is depleted from daily late fees the board will be considered paid in full and no deposit / credit or refund will be issued and board will not need to be returned. If board is returned after extended consecutive late day fees have depleted the security deposit balance board will be considered paid in full with additional charge applicable to have board shipped back to you.

- Board return must be dropped of at an actual UPS location or UPS store location only (no affiliate locations such as CVS, Staples, etc), must obtain a scanned receipt of drop off from UPS location showing proper weight of item on scanned receipt copy (item must be placed on scale and scanned by authorized UPS associate, can not use self service kiosk due to value of board - if these instructions are not followed, any loss of package by carrier, missing tracking movement, or empty box delivery will not be covered - board will be considered not returned and paid in full - deposit will not be refunded.

- Contents of Board Return. All components, accessories, manuals, chargers, packing inserts, etc originally shipped must be returned in working condition exactly as originally shipped. Deductions applicable for any missing items or damage, including missing packing material inserts which are crucial to prevent board damage in transit.

- Contents and SN Verification. Upon receipt of returned board, all contents and Serial Numbers will be verified. We use a camera and video system at time of packing and receipt to document all items and serial numbers. If items are missing, swapped with different/old units or anything other than what was originally shipped, and/or serial numbers do not match we will have documented proof with photo and captured video of package packing and receiving, full security deposit will be forfeited (no refund) and proper authorities will be notified of attempted theft/fraud.

- Acceptable board return condition required. Board must not be damaged, or show any signs of improper use and/or excessive wear or abuse. Minor scratches and wear are acceptable and considered normal which will not be charged / deducted for, but any excessive damage, abuse, cracks, deep chips / gouges, broken/missing parts or accessories, water exposure, sand exposure, etc.. will be subject to additional charges which will be deducted from deposit balance (subject to degree of damage/issues up to full value of deposit where board will be considered paid in full with additional charge applicable to have board shipped back to you).

   

- board can not be used in wet conditions (riding in rain or near bodies of water such as beaches, lake shores, etc..), if there are any signs of significant water exposure the return option will be voided due to breach of contract and board will be considered paid in full, with additional charge to have board shipped back to you (if caught in a minor rain shower that is typically ok if no seepage inside board, but no riding through puddles, heavy rain, shore break, etc..).

- board can not be used in sandy beach conditions, this is due to the likely exposure to salt water and/or potential for water submersion and/or contact, any signs of excessive sand exposure will result in the return option being voided due to breach of contract and board will be considered paid in full, with additional charge to have board shipped back to you.

- Proper safety gear is required when operating the OneWheel and is the responsibility of the rider / renter / purchaser to acquire and wear, this includes at a minimum helmet and wrist guards, with additional knee, elbow, and seat padding / protection recommended. WindBone LLC and/or its affiliates are not responsible for any damage, injury, or death and rider / renter / purchaser accepts any and all risks and liabilities.

- Participation in the use of a OneWheel and/or any related onewheel accessories or activities may cause damage to property, serious injury, or death, the renter / purchaser / demo participant / and or rider fully acknowledges the respective potential for property damage, injury, serious injury, or death and will accept all liability as well as communicate these respective risks to anyone using the board (these risks apply and are not limited to a fully functional board, as they also apply to any potential component / board defects and / or failures) - WindBone LLC and/or any of its affiliates are not responsible for any issues, damages, injury or death caused by any and all OneWheel use including but not limited to fully functional boards, accessories, and components as well as any issues, damages, injury or death caused by any functional defects, board or component failures. Furthermore WindBone LLC and/or any of its affiliates are not responsible for any property damage, injury or death related to any and all OneWheel use related or implied through purchase, demo program, rental, trial, and/or any other related means.   

- Any damage, defect, injury, sickness, death, and/or impairment will not affect or delay demo / rental agreement, board must be returned on time regardless of circumstances. Aforementioned cumulative late fees will apply and deduct from security deposit up to exhaustion of security deposit resulting in board being considered paid-in-full and no return required and no deposit will be refunded. If board is returned after extended consecutive late day fees have depleted the security deposit balance board will be considered paid in full with additional charge applicable to have board shipped back to you.

- Any and all OneWheel use and/or any related activities or services are subject to Use At Own Risk, buyer / purchaser / renter / user shall accept all risks and liabilities.
